Man Puts "Cursed Painting" Up For Auction Saying it "Ruined His Life"

A self-described "weird things collector" is auctioning off a painting of two dolls saying that the object is "cursed" and "ruined his life."[1]

The man purchased an odd painting at a flea market for $50 despite being warned by the owner that is was cursed. But the skeptical man was intrigued by this and wanted to try it out himself. No surprise, not long afterwards he experienced intense bad luck and misfortune.

He developed horrible insomnia that robbed him of all sleep, his home became infested with pests, and his beloved pet hamster died of unknown causes. The article states, "Sickness, loneliness, sleeplessness and uneasiness all started creeping into his previously happy life, and he is convinced that it’s all because of the painting. Now he’s auctioning it off on eBay, in an attempt to get his old life back."

The unfortunate new owner considered destroying the cursed object, but feared it would bring even greater misfortune and misery down upon his soul. So he instead opted to sell it at an auction starting off at the same monetary price he paid, hoping occultists would "pay a bit extra, to offset the losses incurred because of it."

Now there are various ways of removing curses, whether from oneself or an object. These often involve prayers to the Divine and the sprinkling of salt and water or the burning or sage or incense. For example, one could consecrate some salt water by saying, "Elements of earth and water, I purify and bless you in the name of EE-AH-OH!"

You can they bless the incense or sage the same way. "Elements of fire and air, I purify and bless you in the name of EE-AH-OH!"

EE-AH-OH (spelled IAO) is a powerful Divine name. Some add an EH to it which makes it sound similar to Yahweh. But IAO is an older name and I find it gentler and more preferential for a left-hand path magician, though I use the EH variation when working magick from the Gallery of Magick books.

Next you will sprinkle the salt (elemental earth) and water (elemental water lol) on the object or your general area if the house is haunted. You can pray to IAO or even just chant "EE-AH-OH" to purify and cleanse the area.

Now repeat this with the incense. The flame is elemental fire and the smoke it emits elemental air. Once again chant "EE-AH-OH" or even just pray for cleansing and blessing.

There are spirits that can help you as well. A great one is the sixty-fifth angel of the seventy-two letter name of God, Damebiah. This wonderful angel has the power to remove and protect against curses and would be great to call upon for a situation as the one described above. You could even ask the angel to empower another curse removing ritual such as the aforementioned one I designed.

There are also sigils in Adam Blackthorne's Sigils of Power that remove curses and protect against psychic attack. For daily protection I used the "Sword Banishing" from Damon Brand's book Magickal Protection. Ben Woodcroft has some really good banishing and protection rituals in his book Angelic Protection Magick which also has rituals to remove curses, protect the home, and even remove "parasitic beings."

A while back, I went through a period of strange and disturbing dreams. I was visited by bizarre alien-like creatures. A portal would open and they would come through with rainbow auras. They were like greys but taller and with more human-looking eyes. The creatures reminded me of the alien drawn by Betty Hill[2] actually. They would take me strange places, almost hellish-looking realms. It was scary. I purchased Woodcroft's Angelic Protection Magick and did both the Circle Banishing and Body of Protection rituals, including a personal prayer to make the nightmares stop. It worked the very first night. Excellent protection. Though I normally use the Sword Banishing because of how short it is, every now and then I perform the Circle Banishing and Body of Protection for good measure.
