Book Review of Sigils of Power and Transformation by Adam Blackthorne

 Hello, my name is Anton Wolfram and this is my review of the magick book Sigils of Power and Transformation by Adam Blackthorne, a member of the Gallery of Magick.

The Gallery of Magick's books are always top-tier and this one is no exception! It is a general purpose book with one-hundred and eleven sigils covering everything from love, healing, to job seeking. I have owned this book for several years and used it extensively. The four-step ritual process contained in it is deceptively simple yet immensely powerful.

This is one of the most useful books on magick ever written and one of my go-to's when in need. This and Damon Brand's Mystical Words of Power are the two Gallery books that I most highly recommend, especially to beginners. 

The reasons for this are 1.) It is some of the easiest magick that you can perform and requires no pronunciations, and 2.) It has a broad range covering almost every area that one may need help in. It is also useful to many left-hand occultist who don't work with angels since is isn't calling on any spirits. I am left-hand path but work with angels often.

I'm not going to dive too much into the process of how the book works, I mainly want to give some examples of how the magick has worked for myself personally. That, I believe, will give you a far more accurate picture of the book than just explaining the method.

The very first ritual that I ever performed from the book was the sigil "To Lucid Dream". I had been interested in lucid dreams for many years and read Stephen LaBerge's book Exploring the World of Lucid Dreaming. I had some luck early on but it seemed to have more to do with a medication I was prescribed. Once I stopped taking that medication, the lucid dreams stopped. I tried and tried to lucid dream, constantly doing reality checks, setting my alarm, etc. But no luck. Then I tried this sigil. Each sigil is done three days in a row, no exceptions. On the fourth day, or should I say night, I had a lucid dream! Very powerful magick. If you want to lucid dream, give this a try!

Another highly useful sigil that has helped me out of several horrible jams is "Find a Pathway From Crisis." I don't want to go into details of my personal life but suffice it to say this sigil is a real life-saver that has helped me greatly.

This magick is powerful yet so easy that anyone can do it successfully, even a non-magickian! A couple years ago my girlfriend had a harasser at work and management refused to do anything against the little bastard. I cursed him with another Gallery book, Gordon Winterfield's Angels of Wrath. Now the curses from that book did eventually catch up with the harasser seven months later, but nothing was happening at the time and the harassment and abuse had to stop asap!

So I did some thinking and realized, the harassment was happening to my girlfriend, not me, though I was deeply affected by it. So I decided that she needed to do some magick herself. Now my girlfriend knew that I practiced magick, but she isn't a practitioner herself. However, she was frustrated enough by the problem that she was willing to try anything. So I sat her down and guided her through the ritual using the sigil "Ease People Out of Your Life" for three nights in a row. It worked excellently. Within a couple weeks the problem was solved, she was in a completely different department and the asshole had his hours cut.

I don't want to get off on a tangent because this is primarily focusing on Sigils of Power, but in case you are wondering, the Angels of Wrath did eventually work and I got everything I asked for. Not only was the harasser fired, but he was blacklisted by the company because he ran his mouth about the uppermost management. A few months after that I ran into him and cussed him out and he was too afraid to say or do anything. I had used the sigil, "Make an Enemy Sense Your Power."

Now even though he got fired and I cussed him out to his face and intimidated him, I still felt a lot of anger toward him. I don't want to give personal details but the harassment was awful and I sincerely hate this guy more than almost anyone I have ever met. I launched more curses at him (and rightfully so) but honestly, I didn't want to stay angry forever, there's no benefit to that. So I used another great sigil, "Move From Anger to Peace." It brought almost immediate peace. Very soothing.

Another invaluable sigil is "Make Noisy Neighbors Quiet." For whatever reason I often encounter extremely noisy neighbors, and though one can curse them, that often fails to help the noise situation. This sigil however, is extremely effective. I have used it at least five times, from upstairs neighbors tap dancing with gorillas to the people next door riding their loud four-wheelers at all times. Each time it has worked. There are some caveats though. It takes a couple weeks to quiet them down so you will still suffer a while. Also, it only seems to work for a couple months at most, then they go right back to their noisy ways. Now you can keep repeating the sigil, which is easily worth it, or you can use the quiet time to perform more rituals to get rid of them such as "Ease People Out of Your Life."

Unfortunately, I suffer from a severe anxiety disorder due to childhood abuse and a severe physical medical condition that I have. I take medication that helps but still have crippling anxiety. The sigil "Overcome Anxiety" hasn't cured my condition but it certainly has helped me a lot. So has "Ease Depression."

These a few examples of the way this book has helped me and improved my life. It is five out of five stars and I cannot recommend it highly enough, no matter what your path is you will benefit from Adam Blackthorne's Sigils of Power and Transformation.
